Canada Media Fund – Experimental Stream – Accelerator Partnership Program
Description:
The Accelerator Partnership Program (A2P) is designed to provide producers of digital media projects funded through the CMF’s Experimental Stream with better access to mentorship, market and capital.
As such, the A2P seeks to connect Experimental Stream funding recipients with renowned Canadian and foreign accelerators that the CMF has selected based on their ability to work with the variety of projects and diversity of producers supported by the CMF, across the country and abroad.
Comments on Funding:
The CMF will provide acceleration program funding for the recipient’s CMF-funded project, up to $30,000.
Eligibility:
The applicant must be:
a) is Canadian-controlled as determined in sections 26 to 28 of the Investment Canada Act;
b) has its head office in Canada;
c) is in good standing with all applicable talent and industry associations and guilds.
a) a Canadian programming undertaking, public or private, licensed to operate by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC);
b) an online service owned, controlled and operated by a Canadian CRTC-licensed programming undertaking;
c) an online service owned, controlled and operated by a Canadian broadcasting distribution undertaking (“BDU”), licensed to operate by the CRTC; and
d) CRTC-licensed VOD services.

Applications Steps:
Applicants must:
carefully review the program guidelines and all reference documents before submitting an application;
review the PERSONA-ID by Program document to confirm if the program requires them or their team to register to the CMF PERSONA-ID Self-identification system;
register online to create their Dialogue accounts on the Telefilm website and complete the funding application;
sign the contract, if the project is approved.
Other Things to Note:
The Canadian Tooling & Machining Association (CTMA) is pleased to announce this very successful program has been extended for another year! Applications will be accepted between April 1, 2022, and January 13, 2023, and will be assessed on a first-come first-served basis until all funds have been fully allocated.
