AgriMarketing Program (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Component) – Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (2022)

Description:

CanExport SMEs provides financial support to Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises who operate in the agriculture, agri-food, or agri-based sectors to help them develop export opportunities for their product or service in new international markets.

Comments on Funding:

Funding is between $15,000 and $75,000 to cover up to 75% of the applicant’s international market development activities. Applicants must submit a project for which expenses total between $20,000 and $100,000.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

  • Be for-profit
  • Be an incorporated legal entity or a limited liability partnership (LLP)
  • Have a Canada Revenue Agency business number (unless Indigenous-owned or led)
  • Employ no more than 500 full-time equivalent employees
  • Declare between $100K and $100M in annual revenue in Canada during the last 12 months.

Other Things to Note:

Program no longer active at the beginning of 2021.
