Other Things to Note:
- Program no longer active at the beginning of 2021.
- The only program affected by the rollout of the Achievement Incentive is the ministry’s Employer Completion Bonus (ECB). Due to overlapping periods of eligibility, employers who already received a $1,000 ECB payment for an apprentice will not be eligible for a $1,000 Achievement Incentive payment for the same apprentice achieving the highest level of certification for the same trade.
- The ECB has wound-down in preparation for the implementation of the Achievement Incentive, and new ECB application forms are no longer being distributed. Employers who apply for the ECB will be directed to the Achievement Incentive instead.
