Description:

Canadian Agricultural Partnership, Cost-share Funding for Farmers and Other Businesses (plant health), also known as the Ontario Producers program, provides funding to food and agricultural commodity producers. Funding covers a wide range of projects, including increasing business capacity, health management, technology and equipment upgrades, food safety and traceability system development, animal housing construction and modification, business and marketing planning, developing new products and processes, resource planning and supply chain management systems.

Comments on Funding:

Cost-share funding under the Partnership is merit-based and project funding amounts are individually established based on project categories.

Applicants must:

  • Be producers, 
  • Be processors,
  • Be other businesses involved in growing/producing agricultural products,
  • Produce agricultural commodities in Ontario.

  • Complete the program enrolment form before applying for cost-share funding,
  • Complete applications that meet eligibility criteria are assessed using Merit Assessment Criteria, which is specific to each Project Category,
  • Attach the documentation required for the specific project they are applying for.
