Type of Program:
The Canadian Industry Program for Energy Conservation provides financial assistance to help fund industrial facility’s energy management projects. The following types of projects may be eligible for assistance: ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems Standard projects, Energy Management Information Systems (EMIS) projects and Process Integration (PI) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) studies.
Comments on Funding:
Funding is up to 50% of eligible costs, to a maximum of $40,000.
Total government funding is up to 75% of total eligible project costs.
When It Ends:
Applicants must be:
register as a Canadian Industry Partnership for Energy Conservation (CIPEC) Leader.
Email NRCan to request a project proposal template,
Write their proposal following the instructions in the template
Submit their proposal to NRCan for review and acceptance before they begin the project. If accepted, the applicant will be contacted to establish a Contribution Agreement. Work must not start until an agreement is reached.
Arrange to implement the project and pay all related costs when the work has been completed.
Submit a reimbursement claim and final report to NRCan for review and approval.
