Canadian Space Agency – smartEarth: Enabler Track

Description:

CSA’s smartEarth: Enabler track provides grants to businesses seeking to enhance the capacities and expertise of eligible applicants in the use and application of satellite data. It also aims to foster competitiveness and growth.
smartEarth aims to:

  • develop innovative satellite data solutions to help meet various needs on Earth and in people’s everyday lives;

  • increase collaboration among Canadian stakeholders;

  • enhance expertise, growth and competitiveness in Canada’s space sector; and

  • advance scientific knowledge.
  • Comments on Funding:

    Funding will take the form of a grant, and will be provided for each open project opportunity.

    Eligibility:

    Applicants must be:

    • for-profit organizations;
    • not-for-profit organizations;
    • post-secondary institutions; and
    • established in Canada.

    Other Things to Note:

    CSA’s smartEarth replaces the CSA’s Earth Observation Application Development Program (EOADP), Government Related Initiatives Program (GRIP), and Science and Operational Applications Research (SOAR) Program.
