CanExport Associations: Quick Program Guide for Entrepreneurs
Description:
Through this CanExport program, Canadian national industry associations and trade organizations may access up to $250,000 in annual funding. CanExport will cover up to 50% of eligible costs for new or expanded international business development (IBD) activities that benefit an entire industry: organization’s members and non-members alike.

Applications Steps:
Applicants must register their intent to submit an application by contacting CanExport Associations (CanExportAssociations@international.gc.ca). , if their organization is new to the program. They will be provided with access to the online system after an initial assessment of eligibility for funding.
Previously registered organizations will be automatically contacted before the next application launch.
Documentation Needed:
Applicants must submit a complete draft application that includes:
- a multi-year (minimum three-year) international business development strategy approved by the applicant’s governing body (for example, the Board of Directors);
- the organization’s financial statements from the past two years.
Other Things to Note:
The 2022-23 application process for projects taking place between April 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023, will be open from November 30, 2021 to January 11, 2022 (noon / 12:00 p.m. EST).
