Type of Program:
The Career-Ready with CTMA! program provides $3,000 funding for employers in the Machine, Tool, Die & Mould (MTDM) sector of the automotive manufacturing industry interested in providing an experiential work placement for a post-secondary co-op student, recent graduate from the Mechanical Technician (Tool & Die, CNC Machining, Precision Metalworking) or similar programs offered at Ontario colleges and potentially some new Apprentices.
Comments on Funding:
Employers must pay each placement an hourly rate (at least $14/hour) for the 10 to 16 weeks of the work placement.
When It Ends:
Priority will be given to members of the Canadian Tooling & Machining Association (CTMA); however, the fund is open to all businesses in Ontario that meet the minimum threshold.
Students must be:
Students must be post-secondary co-op students, recent graduates from the Mechanical Technician (Tool & Die, CNC Machining, Precision Metalworking) or similar programs offered at Ontario colleges and potentially some new apprentices.
