Community Economic Development and Diversification Stream 3, Not-for-Profit Organizations (Rural Growth and Innovation in Southern Ontario) – FedDev Ontario
The Community Economic Development and Diversification Stream aims to develop, diversify and transform rural Southern Ontario economies by promoting small business development, community innovation and strategic collaborations.
Comments on Funding:
Funding is normally up to 50% of eligible and supported project costs and ranges from $250,000 to $5,000,000 per project. On an exceptional basis, funding can go up to 100% of eligible and supported project costs.
For projects involving redistribution of funding, the ultimate recipients (SMEs) must provide minimum 50% cash contribution. The maximum disbursement of a contribution that provides funding to SMEs as their ultimate recipient is capped at a maximum of $100,000 per SME under a FedDev Ontario project with a not-for-profit organization.
Total government funding is up to 100 % for not-for-profit organizations.

FedDev Ontario has a single-phase application process and one Application for Funding that is used across all three Streams of innovation programming.
Other Things to Note:
Not-for-profit and community economic development organizations can apply through the Jobs and Growth Fund for priority consideration.
