Destination Markham Corporation (DMC) – Partnership Support Program


DMC’s Partnership Support Program provides support to tourism organizations who are working through the pandemic to keep their business open and facilitating projects for the recovery and revitalization of the visitor economy in Markham.

Comments on Funding:

Funding is up to 20% of the project cost to a maximum of $10,000. The level of support will be determined case-by-case, based on the strength and requirements of the project.

When It Ends:



First Intake: May 31st, 2023 (for the period of June to December 2023)
Second Intake: November 1st, 2023 (for the period of January to June 2024)


Applicants must:

  • be businesses/organizations in the Tourism & Hospitality sector, including: 
  • hotels, accommodations, food & beverage;
  • sports and cultural facilities and events;
  • conferences & meetings;
  • festivals, events, attractions.
  • propose projects that take place in the City of Markham and make a contribution to the awareness, and growth of the visitor economy.

Documentation Needed:

Applicants must submit the completed application form including:

  1. a project brief describing the project and how it will fit with one or more of DMC’s priorities and the eligibility criteria;
  2. a Project Budget using the provided template (Appendix II);
  3. a Completed Project Work Plan and Marketing Recognition (Appendix III);
  4. a Signed Attestation – Appendix IV;
  5. a Financial Statements – previous 2 years (audited);
  6. Proof of Insurance – Certificate of Insurance: Minimum $2 million General Commercial Liability insurance coverage.
