Enbridge Gas – Audits, Studies & Assessments: Affordable Multi-Family Housing Program

Description:

The Affordable Multi-Family Housing Program provides incentives for an energy assessment to identify opportunities for natural gas savings in affordable housing buildings.

Comments on Funding:

Receive incentives of up to $8,000 per building for an on-site energy assessment (up to $40,000 per housing provider).

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

  • be social and municipal housing providers;
  • be shelters;
  • be co-ops;
  • be market-rate multi-family buildings which:
    a) need to demonstrate either at least 30 percent of units are rented at less than 80 percent of the median market rent;
    b) are determined by the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation, based on the information gathered during rent roll review by Enbridge Gas; or
    c) have participated in a federal, provincial, or municipal affordable housing funding program in the last 5 years.
  • have Enbridge Gas account in good standing.
