EPCOR Electricity Distribution Ontario – Electric Vehicle Charging Station Funding Program

EPCOR’s Electric Vehicle Charging Station Funding Program is part of the Government of Canada’s Zero Emission Vehicles Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP) designed to work with local organizations to support investment in electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. EPCOR will be distributing ZEVIP funding to selected applicants as part of the program. Funds will support the installation of charging stations in the South Georgian Bay and southwestern Ontario region.

Comments on Funding:

Funding is up to 50% of costs toward qualified electric vehicle (EV) charging stations up to a total value of $100,000 per application.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be organizations validly incorporated or registered in Canada including not-for-profit and for-profit organizations, such as:

  • Companies, such as the following:
    a) using light duty vehicle fleets;
    b) auto dealerships;
    c) restaurants;
    d) retailers;
    e) hotels;
    f) medical offices;
    g) service stations.
  • Industry and research associations;
  • Standards organizations;
  • Indigenous and community groups;
  • Academic institutions;
  • Provincial, territorial, regional or municipal governments or their departments or agencies (the federal government is not eligible), including for:
    a) on-street parking;
    b) libraries;
    c) park and ride;
    d) recreation centres;
    e) other community facilities.
  • Condominium corporations;
  • Property management groups;
  • Electricity or gas utilities.

Eligible applicants must be an organization and not an individual. Home business are not eligible.

Applications Steps:

Applicants must:

complete the application form to begin their EV charging station funding process and email it to GoEV@epcor.com. EPCOR will review applications and notify all applicants if they have been selected for program funding;

Documentation Needed:

  1. Applicants may submit multiple projects for funding consideration on the same application.
  2. Applicants must provide supporting project documentation such as invoices, proof of payment as well as photos of the installation(s).
