Government of Canada – Canada Arts Presentation Fund (CAPF) – Development (2022)

Description:

The Development component provides support for the emergence of arts presenters and presenter support organizations for under-served communities or artistic practices.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be:

  • not-for-profit organizations, incorporated under Part II of the Canada Corporations Act or the Canada Not-For-Profit Corporations Act (or under corresponding provincial or territorial legislation),
  • unincorporated organizations, as well as, ad hoc groups from ethnocultural and Indigenous communities,
  • provincial, territorial or municipal institutions (including agencies and public educational institutions that promote or organize presentation activities for the public), and
  • aboriginal peoples’ institutions and Status or Non-Status Indians, Inuit and Métis organizations.

An organization cannot apply to the “Programming” component and the “Development” component in the same year for its regular programming activities.

Other Things to Note:

  1. The CAPF has two main components – Programming and Development. The CAPF Programming component has two streams: Professional Arts Festivals and Performing Arts Series Presenters; and Presenter Support Organizations.
  2. All applicants must contact the nearest regional office of the Department of Canadian Heritage to verify eligibility and obtain an application package.
