Government of Ontario – Main Street Relief Grant for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (2022)
Description:
The Main Street Relief Grant for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provides one-time funding to help small businesses with the unexpected costs of PPE.
Comments on Funding:
Funding will take the form of one-time grants of up to $1,000.
Eligibility:
Applicant must:
- retail;
- accommodation and food services;not have submitted these exact same PPE expenses and receipts to another program for funding.
- repair and maintenance;
- personal and laundry services;
- gyms and yoga studios.
Applications Steps:
have a business number before they can proceed with their application;
have information about the number of employees available and would have to attest to the information provided in their application;
complete the eligibility questionnaire;
complete and submit the application form, providing the eligibility criteria are met.
Applicants will be able to complete a single form to apply for any – or all – of these programs: PPE support, property tax rebates, energy cost rebates or the Ontario Small Business Support Grant.
Documentation Needed:
Applicants must provide the folowing:
- business information (including legal name and CRA business number);
- contact information;
- PPE expense details and receipts or proof of costs for PPE purchased since March 17, 2020. This includes:
- gloves, gowns, face shields, eye protection, masks, sanitizer, sanitizing wipes;
- thermometers, temperature monitors or cameras;
- physical changes, including the installation of hand sanitizer stations and plexiglass dividers;
- signs to guide or inform customers and employees.
