Type of Program:
The Ontario Small Business Support Grant is intended to help small businesses (including sole proprietorships) in Ontario that are required to close or significantly restrict services under Ontario’s provincewide shutdown effective December 26, 2020.
Comments on Funding:
Funding ranges from $10,000 to a maximum of $20,000.

Only businesses from the following list are eligible to apply for funding under this program:
Businesses that are not eligible include:
have a business number before they can proceed with their application;
have information about the revenue decline and number of employees available and would have to attest to the information provided in their application;
complete the eligibility questionnaire;
complete and submit the application form, providing the eligibility criteria are met.
Once the application is successfully submitted an eligible business can expect to receive payment within approximately 10 business days. Applicants will be able to complete a single form to apply for any – or all – of these programs: PPE support, property tax rebates, energy cost rebates or the Ontario Small Business Support Grant.
Applicants must provide and attest to the following information:

- 2Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) Business Number (If applicants do not have a CRA Business Number, they may apply for one here: Register for a business number or Canada Revenue Agency program accounts - Canada.ca);
- 3business type;
- 4revenue figures;
- 5number of employees ;
- 6business’ bank account number - Name of financial institution - Address of financial institution - Financial institution number - Branch/Transit number - Account type.
Applications may be selected for audit and additional information and supporting documentation may be required to prove eligibility.
