Description:
The Indigenous Agriculture and Food Systems Initiative supports Indigenous communities and entrepreneurs who are ready to launch agriculture and food systems projects and others who want to build their capacity to participate in the Canadian agriculture and agri-food sector.
Comments on Funding:
Funding is up to 90% of the project’s total eligible costs, to a maximum of $500,000 per project, per year or a maximum of $2.5 million over five years.
Eligible project costs will be cost-shared with the applicant. Applicant’s portion of the cost-share can be Cash and/or In-Kind Contributions.
Total government funding cannot exceed 100% of the project’s total eligible costs.
