BOOST supports commercialization, business start-up, scaling, expansion, and/or improvement efforts by providing a 50% contribution toward eligible project costs.

Funding is a 50% contribution toward eligible project costs.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

  • be innovative entrepreneurs;
  • be Small-Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) across far northeast Ontario, including:
    a) Timmins and area;
    b) Highway 11 corridor from Hearst to Earlton, including Kirkland Lake;
    c) Gogama, Foleyet, and Chapleau;
    d) Indigenous communities along the James Bay Coast, including Attawapiskat, Kashechewan, Fort Albany, Moosonee, and Moose Factory.
  • be a client of Link North;
  • have businesses in agri-foods, manufacturing, mining and industrial services, information technologies, health sciences and cleantech sectors.

Generally, the program does not support retail, restaurant or consumer services businesses. However, if applicants’ product, service, or business model is novel and innovative, they are still encouraged to apply.
