Description:
The Northern Business Opportunity Program — Small Business Start-up Projects provides funding to new businesses in Northern Ontario that intend to commence operations in existing and emerging priority economic sectors.
Comments on Funding:
Funding will generally not exceed 50% of eligible project costs up to a maximum of $200,000.Applicants must provide a minimum equity contribution in the amount of 15% of eligible project costs.

The entrepreneur will be required to reimburse the NOHFC if assets financed by the NOHFC are sold within the first three years of operation.
