OBIO®, through EAHN™, supports health technology companies and healthcare organizations to evaluate technologies in the real-world setting, widely disseminate technologies that prove value-producing, and create showcase sites to demonstrate successful Canadian technologies to the global market.

Comments on Funding:

Funding is up to $250,000 for Healthcare Organizations.
Financial support is available for both the company and healthcare organization during the evaluation.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

  • be Canadian health technology companies;
  • be prepared to have their technologies evaluated in a health organization setting and whose technologies will provide value as measured against the Quadruple Aim of health care (improve patient experience, health of populations, per capita cost of health care, and healthcare staff satisfaction).
  • be expected to:
    a) have all regulatory clearance necessary for product evaluation in a clinical setting;
    b) be prepared for immediate scale-up and dissemination following a successful evaluation; and
    c) have a clear and defined path forward for commercialization of their technology and ready for procurement.

Healthcare Organizations applicants must help Canada’s health system improve patient care, provider satisfaction and system efficiency.
