Next AI is a world class program for artificial intelligence based ventures and technology commercialization.
Next Canada identifies talented ideas or early-stage teams with ambitious solutions and leverage Canada’s leadership position in AI to provide them with the capital, mentorship, education and network to disrupt industries.
Next AI is delivered on two campuses: Toronto and Montréal. Next AI – Montréal is delivered in partnership with HEC Montréal.
Comments on Funding:
Funding is up to $25,000 in venture funding on a $2mm cap post-money SAFE and are eligible for up to an additional $100,000 in follow-on investment on a $4mm cap post-money SAFE.
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
a) Tangible validation proof of a scalable business model;
b) AI is core to the venture;
c) Canadian company and or registered in the province of Quebec (Next AI – Montréal)

Other Things to Note:
1. Next AI runs two concurrent cohorts per year in their two locations, Montreal and Toronto, over the course of seven months. The application period is from October 17, 2022 to December 11, 2022 for the 2023 program (March – September).
2. Top VCs and investors from across North America are involved with NEXT Canada. Many ventures have secured follow-on funding through the Next AI investor network.
