Next 36 focuses on the growth of entrepreneurs, teaching them the core skills and strategies necessary for building a business. From how to compete with established competitors to how to read a term sheet and beyond, they are covered. Learn from successful entrepreneurs, business leaders and world-class faculty.

Comments on Funding:

Funding may consist in a grant or an investment.Requested funds must range from $500,000 to $1,200,000. Exceptionally, CQDM may consider applications exceeding the maximum, if appropriate.Applicants are responsible for raising matched funding for the project.

Eligibility:

  • Next 36 accepts undergrads, masters students and recent grads from schools across Canada, from any academic discipline.

They are looking for:

  • Problem Solvers;
  • Social Champions;
  • Community Leaders;
  • Academic Leaders.
  • Canadian citizens who are enrolled at international institutions can apply as long as they’re able to commit to attending the full summer program from early May to mid-August.
  • Next 36 is looking for students who have an entrepreneurial track record, e.g., they’ve gone to hackathons, spearheaded a student club, started a company, or launched a social enterprise. Students with an existing early-stage venture are also eligible to apply.
