Description:

Farm Credit Canada through its Crop Inputs program supports farmers to get the inputs they need and an extended payment date. Applicants have 12 months to purchase fuel, fertilizer and crop protection, and up to 18 months to pay.

Comments on Funding:

Funding is up to 100% of the input purchase with a dedicated loan tied to the applicant’s local retailer.

Input financing is offered through local retailers . The applicant will pay interest and other fees, if applicable.

Applications Steps:

contact Farm Credit Canada by phone at 1-888-522-2555 or email an FCC representative;

apply through their FCC Online Services Account, if existing FCC customers. 

Documentation Needed:

Applicants must:

  • generate a net worth statement,
  • collect past three years of tax returns or accountant-prepared financial statements,
  • gather recent pay stubs or written employer verification for off-farm income (if applicable),
  • bring government-issued photo ID (drivers license, passport),
  • collect shareholder agreements (if any),
  • assemble copies of existing operating loan agreements (if applicable),
  • build a business and marketing plan,
  • prepare and maintain a cash flow budget.
