FCC’s Sustainability Incentive Program is designed to provide an incentive program to eligible customers who are certified through Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (CRSB). This is by working with the CSRB and its certification bodies (Verified Beef Production Plus, Ontario Corn Fed Beef Quality Assurance Program and Where Food Comes From Inc.).

Comments on Funding:

Applicants must:

  1. be Canadian companies; and
  2. have company’s annual revenue ranging from about $10 million to $300 million.

  • FCC customer with a balance owing on eligible, existing FCC lending; and
  • CRSB Certified through one of the following verification bodies:
    a) Verified Beef Production Plus;

    c) Where Food Comes From Inc..

Applicants must provide the following information for eligibility verification and calculation of their incentive payment:

  1. Contact information;
  2. FCC customer number;
  3. CRSB-approved certification body they are certified with; and
  4. A copy of their registration certificate or certificate of approval showing their CRSB certification.

Other Things to Note:

The information about the funding is a bit ambiguous. The program indicates an “incentive payment”, other article states it’s a payment made to a producer, and one article calls it a rebate. Considering that it’s a payment aimed to incentivize certification, this is assumed to be a rebate.
