Clean Foundation – Green Jobs

Description:

The Green Jobs Internship Program, generously funded by Natural Resources Canada, is a wage subsidy initiative that places Canadians in roles in the natural resources sectors, including energy, forestry, mining, and earth sciences.

Comments on Funding:

Funding is a wage subsidy of up to $20,000 per intern hired, or up to $25,000 for youth hired who are furthest from employment (include Indigenous Youth, placements in Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut, rural communities, and remote communities).
Clean Foundation will subsidize up to 80% of each intern’s salary.

Eligibility:

Employers must be:

  • legal entities incorporated or registered in Canada, including for-profit and not-for-profit organizations;
  • Indigenous organizations and groups;
  • provincial, territorial, regional and municipal governments and their departments and agencies.

Interns must:

  • be between 15 and 30 years old at the start of the internship;
  • be eligible to work in Canada;
  • be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or have refugee status;
  • not be enrolled in school at the time of the application.
