Environmental Careers Organization of Canada (ECO Canada) Co-op Student Work Placement
Description:
The Co-op Student Placement wage subsidy covers up to 50% of a student’s wages to a maximum of $5,000 (or up to 70% of a student’s wages to a maximum of $7,500) when employers hire the brightest minds in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math (STEAM) and Business.
Federal funding, including the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS), cannot exceed 100% of the wages earned when combined with the ECO Canada Student Work Placement (SWP) funding.
Comments on Funding:
Funding is a wage subsidy of 50% of wages up to $5,000. Additional funding is available for underrepresented groups.

Applications Steps:

take the eligibility Quiz and complete the online host application to get approved,
find a Candidate for the approved position and have them apply (Employer hosts and approved Candidate become linked and contracts are issued.).
Documentation Needed:

1. job title, description & training plan (for employers);
2. postsecondary program info and a resume (for candidates).
