Description:
The AgriScience Program, under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP), aims to accelerate innovation by providing funding and support for pre-commercial science activities and research that benefits the agriculture and agri-food sector and Canadians.
Comments on Funding:
Support is available in the form of non-repayable contributions and/or collaborative support from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) research scientists.
You may apply for one of three options:
non-repayable contribution funding (referred to as Vote 10 at AAFC) for research activities conducted by industry
collaborative research and development support (referred to as Vote 1 at AAFC) for research performed by AAFC scientists
both (Vote 10 and Vote 1)
Continuous Intake
Eligibility:
Applicants must be:
1. a for-profit or not-for-profit organization
2. consents to share a summary of your proposal with other federal departments and other provincial and territorial governments
3. a legal entity capable of entering into legal binding agreements
Application Steps:
Applicants must:
1. Complete and submit the project summary form : The project summary form will help you determine if your project is eligible and aligns with the program’s criteria and priorities. This stage will also begin a discussion between you and an AAFC program officer about your project.
2. You may be asked to submit a full application: After you submit your project summary form, a program officer will be in touch, and may ask you to submit a full application.
