Description:
The Affordable Multi-Family Housing New Construction is designed to provide incentives to builders or energy modelling company making capital improvement projects that will help save energy and money, and keep their building running optimally. Also, this provides incentives to eligible customers who are implementing high-efficiency equipment.
Comments on Funding:
Receive incentives of:
– up to $8,000 per building or a maximum of $40,000 per affordable multi-family housing provider, for energy modelling tools;
– up to $200,000 per project or 50% of the cost of implementing high-efficiency equipment.
Rolling deadline
Eligibility:
Applicants must have projects on:
1. affordable multi-residential building which meets the Affordable Multi-Family Housing program eligibility requirements;
2. new construction buildings that have not participated in the Affordable housing savings by design program;
3. at the pre-construction phase or earlier;
4. located in the former Enbridge Gas Distribution service area.
Application Steps:
Applicants must:
1. contact an Energy Solutions Advisor to review and approve the project and its scope of work; 2. work with a third-party energy modelling company or energy modelling tool, once approved. All energy models will be verified by the Energy Solutions Advisor.

Measures must be implemented between Jan 1. and Nov 30 of the current calendar year.
