Description:

Transport Canada’s National Trade Corridors Fund provides funding for infrastructure projects in Canada, including work to airports, ports, rail yards, transportation facilities and access roads.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be:
1. provinces and territories, municipalities and local, regional, provincial and territorial entities,
2. Indigenous governments, tribal councils and other forms of regional government, national or regional Indigenous organizations or development corporations,
3. public sector organizations,
4. federal crown corporations or agencies,
5. not-for-profit and for-profit private sector organizations,
6. Canada port authorities,
7. National Airport Systems airport authorities,
8. universities and colleges.

Application Steps:

Applicants must:
1. obtain a Government of Canada-issued GCKey (unique electronic credential) to access and use the NTCF online application portal,
2. use the online National Trade Corridors Fund application portal to submit an expression of interest,
3. submit a comprehensive project proposal, if invited.

Other Things to Note:

1. NTCF funding is spread out over 11 years, ending March 31, 2028.
