Description:
Young Canada Works in Both Official Languages (YCWBOL) is a short-term job program. Eligible employers may benefit from salary subsidies and access to a pool of talented youth with innovative ideas and competitive skills.

Positions last from 6 to 16 weeks.
YCWBOL will pay the cost of one round trip between the student’s permanent residence and workplace for students who must travel at least 125 km from their permanent residence to their job site. The program also offers an allowance for housing costs incurred by a participant who has to pay rent.
YCW may contribute a maximum of 50% of the student’s employment costs (i.e. wages, benefits and other eligible expenditures) for private and public sector organizations.
YCW may contribute a maximum of 75% of the student’s employment costs (i.e. wages, benefits and other eligible expenditures) for non-profit organizations.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be:
1. a private, public, non-profit organization, or a municipality;
2. incorporated;
3. involved in national, provincial, territorial, municipal or community activities;
4. conducting activities in both official languages; and
5. stable and financially healthy.
Application Steps:
Applicants must:
1. visit the YCW login page to create a new account or reactivate their profile from a previous year;
2. follow the step-by-step instructions to ensure that all of the required information is included; and
3. submit the application to the delivery organization responsible for delivering the program in their region for evaluation.
Once the delivery organization has received the application, it will be reviewed and evaluated.
