Starter Company Plus – Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade

Description:

Starter Company Plus provides a grant of up to $5,000 to start a new company, expand an existing company or buy a business in Ontario. Applicants can also apply for training and mentoring.

Comments on Funding:

Funding is up to $5,000.To qualify for a grant, applicants must be able to make a contribution in cash or in kind. It has to be for least 25% of the grant amount.

Eligibility:

The applicant must: 

  • Be 18 years of age or older,
  • Be an Ontario resident and Canadian citizen (or permanent resident),
  • Not attending school full-time or returning to school
  • Be able to make a contribution in cash or in kind for least 25% of the grant amount.

Applications are made through Small Business Enterprise Centre locations.
